Travel Delta Star has run scheduled fast boats on the Danube between Tulcea and Sulina for over ten years. This is the site dedicated to the boat service, one of the company's three websites. Three sites instead of one was a search engine optimisation choice, and the strategy has paid off over the years.
We have been working with the company for 10 years. Now we rebuilt the site from scratch, to modernise it and to meet the new requirements of AI-driven search. Its custom design is made for the traveller who wants three answers fast: when the boat leaves, what it costs and where to board.
What we built
- Timetable and fares from a single data file. We designed it for this site: stops, piers, routes, timetables with validity periods, fares per segment and travel rules, all validated automatically. It drives both the site's tables and the structured data for Google.
- Piers with static maps. Each one has GPS coordinates and direct Google Maps and Waze links, with no third-party scripts loaded when the page opens.
- Mobile first. The call button is always visible, since bookings are taken only by phone through a 24/7 dispatch desk. An FAQ page gives direct answers.
- Ready for AI assistants. Read-only tools for in-browser AI agents let them look up departures, fares and piers straight from the data.

The site is in Romanian and English. Old URLs permanently redirect to the new pages, so the company keeps its Google rankings. On the pages tested, Lighthouse mobile scores 100 for performance, accessibility and best practices.
How it connects to the other two sites
The timetable and fares file is the same one used by the company's main website, so a time or price is changed in one place and shows correctly on both. For those who want to stay in the Delta, the site points to the tours.
